Design Signatures: a bold new craft showcase by Design-Nation at Decorex

Design-Nation presents thirteen fantastic designers at Decorex 2020, showing original work and new collections on the theme of ‘Design Signatures’.

Our designer members have been working across the UK from Cornwall to the Shetlands to produce new work to exhibit at Decorex this year including ceramics, furniture, silver-smithing, textiles, and wall-based artworks.

Nine of our exhibitors are new to Decorex this year, with the other four creating ambitious new collections that build on previous successes. In all cases the processes and materials employed are striking illustrations of their individual design signatures.

Those new to the show include silversmiths Alex O’Connor and Josephine Gomersall whose decorative vessels and stems will sit alongside BAKKA’s Shetlands-inspired knitted throws; handmade ceramics tableware and lighting by Caroline Couzens and Speckled Grey; weaves for interiors by KULU and Pamela Print; tile solutions by Piccolpasso; and Julie Vernon’s mosaic panels.

Collections of new work on display by former exhibitors include a new collection of handmade steam-bent wooden furniture by Angus Ross; sculptural ceramics by Katherine Staples; illustrative textiles and wallpapers by Susannah Weiland and a new collection of dramatic embroidered home accessories by Jacky Puzey.
