How does your technique bring out the hidden stories or emotions of the material you use?
I would hope that the techniques commemorate the living and untamed landscape as a critical change for the environment, rather than the historic decoration of the idealised landscaped and managed countryside. This work highlights that the landscape is in a state of rapid change.
The 18th–19th century potteries celebrated the control and management of the landscape. I would hope that my interpretation highlights the need for symbiosis.
