How does your craft help you explore memories, and is there a specific moment that inspired this piece?
This work carries a memory of childhood— long summer days lying in a meadow, surrounded by the scent of grass and warm earth, watching clouds drift across an endless sky. Everything was quiet, yet constantly shifting. That sense of impermanence has never left me. In my studio, the clay recalls that feeling—the grounded weight of the earth, the delicate, passing light of the clouds. I use porcelain for its translucency, stoneware for its depth; joining them so they almost breathe together. The piece becomes a fragment of that memory: time held still, yet always on the edge of change.
