CERAMICS | LEICESTERSHIRE
How does your technique bring out the hidden stories or emotions of the material you use?
Through layering, carving and with the addition of ground clay particles, my ceramic forms echo the weathering and repetition found in ancient architecture. Patterns emerge and fade, revealing traces of process and touch like carved details softened by centuries. I try to uncover the stories embedded in the material itself, stories of craft and the dedication of ancient builders and artisans. Each piece becomes a small act of remembrance where clay holds both the structure of the man-made and the softness of decay.
