About:

Established in 1998, Mari Thomas Jewellery is one of Wales’ leading artists and contemporary jewellers. Designer-founder Mari’s passion for designing and creating shines through in her several distinct collections, one-off pieces and commissioned works.

Available online and through her own gallery in Llandeilo, South Wales, Mari’s pieces are highly sought after and collectible. Her collections draw heavily on her Welsh heritage, landscapes, culture, the Welsh language and the process of thoughts and designing itself. At the core of all of her work, Mari Thomas is a designer. Using jewellery as an expression, Mari creates wearable art that tells a story. Also known for her larger, captivating pieces, Mari’s attention to detail and craftsmanship are unrivalled. She frequently works with both private and corporate clients to design and create bespoke commissions, ranging from platinum and diamond engagement rings to National Eisteddfod crowns.

Mari has won numerous design awards including the Gold Medal for Craft and Design at the National Eisteddfod of Wales. In recognition of her contribution to the arts in Wales she was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from University of Wales Trinity St David’s. Mari’s work has appeared on the pages of Vogue, Tatler and Hello, and she has successfully exhibited nationally and internationally in major cities including London, Tokyo and New York.
