Hand-woven from yarn made from recycled PET plastic, it takes on average between 70-100 plastic bottles to make Angie Parker’s ‘Bodacious’ design. The rugs are made by hand in a workshop in Varanasi, India that complies with the stringent working standards of the Ethical Trading Initiative.
With the look and feel of real wool, the rugs can be used all-year-round outdoors and indoors. Because they are easy-care, stain resistant and waterproof, they are perfect for areas that take heavy traffic but where a statement design with a burst of colour makes all the difference. When the sun comes out, the bright colours look wonderful on patios and balconies; as well as conservatories and garden rooms.
As the self proclaimed ‘queen of colour’, it is no surprise that Angie’s new limited edition collection doesn’t hold back on eye-popping hues. Woven in gorgeous oranges, pinks, yellows and turquoise, the Bodacious range is a brilliant way to get the Angie Parker signature vibrant colour combinations and Scandinavian-influenced design in an innovative new product. Angie says, “I’m sure the reason people find my work uplifting is because it is created from my genuine joyful passion for the techniques I’ve become addicted to, and the many moments of glee I experience in making.”
