The Future of Craft is a partnership project and would not be possible without the support of many people and organisations. In particular we are very grateful to our project partners Oxo Tower Wharf/Coin Street Community Builders, and Future Icons.
Oxo Tower Wharf is home to some of the UK’s most innovative and internationally renowned designers. Visitors can explore over 25 open designer-maker studios across three floors of the iconic Oxo Tower Wharf Building – select studios will be running their own events as part of London Craft Week. This building is also home to contemporary exhibition spaces, Bargehouse and gallery@oxo. Oxo Tower Wharf is owned and managed by Coin Street Community Builders (CSCB). CSCB is a social enterprise which means income generated by commercial activities stays in the neighbourhood and is used to deliver a range of community programmes and maintain our site which includes Bernie Spain Gardens and Riverside Walkway. Sophie Cain is their Design Curator and has been a tireless project manager for The Future of Craft, which could not have happened without her efforts in organising staff, suppliers, signage and marketing support,
Future Icons represents a select collection of design and craft led businesses that produce the finest home accessories, furniture, jewellery, fashion accessories, artwork and objet d’art internationally. Client collections can be found in museums, galleries and private residences across the world and are presented as heirlooms of the future. Director Louisa Pacifico has been instrumental in not only bringing a host of talented designer-makers into the project, but also securing fantastic support from many craft and design organisations.
Alongside these key project partners we are also grateful for the support of David and Trina at Seen PR, photographer Yeshen Venema and stylist Jessica Jung, the wonderful design team at The Unloved, especially Koo Bhangra who created our fabulous logo for The Future of Craft and responded to all of requests, and Onward Display who produced our signage.
