Kathryn Stevens creates sculptural ceramics inspired by the shipbuilding heritage of Barrow-in-Furness.
Referencing technical drawings, industrial forms and locally sourced materials, Kathryn’s work explores themes of place, belonging and collective memory. By incorporating raw materials and industrial waste into her practice, she creates contemporary ceramic sculptures that celebrate both local history and sustainable making.
Kathryn’s work has received national recognition through awards and exhibitions, reflecting the strength of her distinctive material-led practice.
For Crafted Futures, Kathryn will be selling a selection textured abstract sculptures using local raw materials (clay, slate, shale and industrial waste from a local boat builder).
