Glenice Hoffmann creates sculptural stoneware inspired by modernist form, geometric abstraction and the quiet beauty of simplicity.
Hand-built using considered, low-energy processes, Glenice’s tactile vessels celebrate balance, texture and material honesty. Burnished, smoke-fired and naturally finished surfaces encourage touch and contemplation, offering moments of calm within contemporary interiors.
Glenice’s practice reflects a deep appreciation for the meditative qualities of making and the enduring relationship between maker, material and object.
For Crafted Futures, Glenice will be selling a collection of decorative, geometric forms, hand-built in white stoneware clay with sharp, defined outer lines and a central void. The natural, tactile surface is textured, inlaid or smoke-fired and polished. The shapes and sizes appear to change as you move around them.
