Sally Scott is a contemporary glass artist whose work draws inspiration from the hidden structures and processes of molecular biology.
Combining a background in scientific research with specialist hot glass techniques, Sally creates sculptural works that celebrate curiosity, precision and discovery. A recent graduate of De Montfort University, she has received several prestigious graduate awards, including the London Glassblowing Prize and the Contemporary Glass Society Graduate Prize, recognising her exciting contribution to contemporary glass practice.
For Crafted Futures Sally will show sculptural pieces from her Morphology collection, which takes inspiration from cells as the building blocks of all living organisms, working with both hot and cold glass techniques, and experimenting with line, form and colour .
Sally is a Graduate member of Design-Nation.
