Samantha Boot creates contemporary quilted textiles that explore history, memory and a sense of place through the quiet language of hand stitching.
Specialising in traditional hand quilting, Samantha uses subtle colour palettes and richly textured surfaces to create contemplative works that celebrate the beauty of slow, skilled making. Supported by Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice programme, Samantha’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in private collections around the world.
For Crafted Futures, Samantha will be selling a hand-quilted cushions which celebrate the history of heritage quilting designs.
