Suzy Ager creates contemporary embroidered textiles that combine expressive mark-making with intricate stitch.
Inspired by the natural world and local conservation issues, Suzy’s work explores the relationship between drawing, print and embroidery, celebrating the richness of handcrafted processes. Working with a slow textiles ethos, she continually experiments with materials and techniques to create thoughtful pieces that encourage a deeper connection with nature.
Suzy’s work has been featured on the cover of Embroidery magazine and exhibited at leading contemporary textile exhibitions across the UK.
For Crafted Futures, Suzy will be showing wall hung pieces representing British birdlife, made using silks, hand coloured and recycled materials.
Suzy is a Professional member of Design-Nation.
