Matt Reeves creates contemporary furniture that celebrates the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and locally sourced timber.
Working from his Norfolk workshop, Matt handcrafts sculptural seating and furniture inspired by the quiet landscapes that surround him. Every piece embraces the natural character of the wood, allowing grain, texture and the marks of making to remain visible.
Matt’s work gained national recognition through the BBC’s Make It at Market, showcasing his distinctive approach to contemporary furniture making.
For Crafted Futures, Matt will be selling his signature collection of sculptural wooden seating. Pieces such as the Nook bench, Branch bench and Settle stool-table are carved and shaped by hand from locally sourced hardwoods including ash, sycamore and beech. The work sits between functional furniture and sculptural form, with soft organic lines, visible hand-tool marks and a focus on the natural character of the timber.
