Angus Ross transforms local trees into exquisite furniture. He is best known as a designer and maker of sculptural one-off furniture pieces with a sense of movement and flow. He began steam-bending to use small section timber from his sustainably managed bluebell wood.
The Waterfall Bench captures a delicate waterfall of water as seen in the burns (streams) around his home and workshop. Fluid, flowing lines is a characteristic of many of Angus’s designs and in this new one-off piece the steam-bent curves of ash are complimented with walnut joint details.
The Prism Stool is part of the Prism collection, launched at Decorex 2020 and winning that event’s Most Sustainable Product award.
