Verity Pulford has developed innovative and unique forms and methods in making glass, driven by her love for the medium. She is constantly experimenting with techniques and the need to express the authentic spirituality she finds in nature around her in North Wales.
Verity’s glass work pushes at the boundaries of what is possible with the material, using alternative forms of pate de verre which she’s developed throughout the last two years. She also combines different areas of glass making, including architectural techniques and materials, and casting. In this way she believes her work is truly innovative.
Verity’s pieces also raise awareness of the wonders of the natural world, in highlighting the beauty of the macro structures and focusing on elements of plant forms often overlooked — lichens and algae in particular.
